I thought all these splatter ink gems were all gone. Let me explain. Back in the 1990's the artists started this splatter or sprinkle ink style. How they do it beats me but it has a special appeal. I run across one from time to time but there aren't many left.
They take me back to a time when I bought tagua carvings every day at the Balboa Post Office. The artists and I gathered around an old wooden table outside the Post Office and bargained until we reached agreements. And the whole time the termites were eating the legs off the table. Boy, did God give me a great life.
Tagua carvings are one-of-a-kind treasures.
