Folks, here's another super cocobolo wood carving. It is a water fowl or ganza as they say in Panama. I'd call it a Heron myself.
These wood carvings are done by the artists of the Wounaan or Ebera tribes who live in the rainforests of Panama. This particularly carving has been in my inventory for 25 years. I recently opened a box of old carvings and decided to share them with the world. This carving is 6" tall and the base measures 2.5" x 2". So if old or vintage wood carvings of birds are your thing here's a good bet.
