This is a great example of the Chunga fiber masks that the Wounaan women weave. These weavers are the same artists that make the famous Panama baskets.
This mask represents a handsome Zebra. However, since there are no Zebras in Panama it might be a horse or donkey.
It measures 11" snout to ear. 7" wide. The neck area is classic Wounaan basket and the chin and snout are really neat.

These masks are wonderful wall decorations or accent pieces.
I have a number of masks so check them out in eBay stores Molamagic and Traderbrock.
Another one-of-a-kind treasure.
