This mola measures 11.5" x 16".
This mola has a ribbon across the bottom hem that tells me it was once a blouse mola. The artists disassemble old blouses and sell the molas when they are tired of the blouse. This one is in excellent condition for a former blouse mola. It has machine-stitching which suggests it is from the 1960-1970 period. Back then the Peace Corps introduced sewing machines to speed up production. Mistake. Big mistake because collectors want hand-stitching. If you are into the vintage or want to make a pillow or something else it doesn't really matter.
The artists tend to use their favorite molas for their blouses to show off to their friends. That is why I buy old blouses intact. Check mola blouse category and go to store Molamagic. That is my wife's playground.
